The project "White Book"

The project is realized in a context of the suggestion stated by one of the OIS founders, that civil society in Moldova due to be under permanent analyzing; the non-governmental organizations' forum should be organized therefore.

The purposes of the project are:

• To evaluate current condition of civil society in Moldova;
• To elaborate analyzing and monitoring methods for civil society in Moldova.
• To create suggestions on subject of Moldavian civil society development.
• To create conditions for transparency of social-significant processes and their monitoring by the third sector (sector of the non-governmental organizations).
• To organize juridical education of the population, including wide-use of Internet opportunities.

The sources of financing:

The subprojects of the given project are supposed to be financed from the various sources: the state orders, sponsor's support, obtaining of a grant.

The center "Contact" accumulated and distributed the funds for organizing the forum and issuing of the "White book" materials; the direct financing for the participating organizations has not been assumed.

The intermediate results:

• The OIS has participated in preparing and carrying-out of the First Moldavian non-governmental organizations' Forum.
• The OIS has participated (together with: Association of the scientists of Moldova, "Counterpart" Center, Center of conflictology, Center of the scientific and cultural initiatives, Center of social innovations, Public research institute "ContrAnomia", NGO Club "Life and Society") in preparing materials for the final edition of the "White Book" which describes condition of civil society in Moldova.
